So, my first thought this morning and as I went to bed LAST night, was not surprisingly, SUGAR! Mama wants her sugar! What the hell were we thinking? Are we mad?
I have to be honest, although I had some minor cravings, the absolute hardest part was to not have artificial sweetner for my morning tea or afternoon iced tea. Then I had a realization: Maybe I will be drikning less caffeine on this challenge?
I found the eating throughout the day totally manageable, yet I thought a lot about consuming empty carbs and was able to resist.
Went to the grocery store and noticed some of the organic choices that I would never have thought twice to read the ingredients, had stuff like 'rice syrup' and 'corn syrup'. Just totally unfair. Made me want to boycott eating while I was on a kick...
I feel tonight like I lost a pound, maybe two, or I just feel instantly lighter for having been strict for one entire day. Tomorrow, maybe a glass of vino may occur, but for tonight, water, water, water...
As I sign off, I celebrate my TWO YEAR mark of moving to NYC. October 1st, 2006, my ship landed on this incredible island and I am happy to report, it's still going strong!
Thanks for a flawless first day!
We did it!
29 to go...
