And not so much about Palin, but learning I don't like to drink caffeine without sweetener.
Consequently, I drank virtually non today. This is turning into a bigger detox than I originally thought.
My sense of smell is heightened too. Don't know if that is directly related to what we are doing, but it's a lightness of being in a strange way.
I keep looking in the mirror thinking there will be some noticeable change in physique. Nope, still have those thighs, compliments of years as a competitive gymnast.
Skin is clear. Eyes and head seem clearer...
Felt major comfort craving for sugar tonight, for at least some hot cocoa. May have over eaten some watermelon and green grapes to compensate.
Somebody asked me today if balsamic vinegar is ok: answer is yes. Use everything in moderation. Too much sodium is just as bad as too much sugar. I am afraid my salad dressing today out at lunch may have had trace amounts of sugar. Also, had a beer. Just one, I swear.
As the weekend approaches, let's decide now how much alcohol we will allow ourselves and STICK with the plan, ok?
Anyone want to confess from tonight??? Just sayin'...

salty stuff tastes saltier.
would pledge to give up sweetner in coffee forever in exchange for ability to watch sarah palin get double bitchslaped. and the banges, is anyone gonna mention the banges??
at cocktail party last night had glass of champagne, white wine, and later in the night grapefruit w vodka. is that awful?? ordered apps. i got hummus and asked for celery instead of pita. my husband and friends think i'm sick in the head for obsessing. palin sux.
obsessing about something like your health for a 30 day challenge is something worthwhile...
was worse is living a life in denial of what you consume! you are ahead of the game, my dear.
now, being sick in the head: that's a whole 'nother story
:)
yo scollar -but clearly you arent very sick.. you did acknowledge that palin sux so still.. you are way ahead of the game. and healthy to boot.. and my friends think im nuts too but whateves- better than trite rite?!
If I end up losing weight after this month, is there anyway to keep off that weight? Or will most of it come back after eating sugar?
you will totally be able to maintain any weight loss after these 30 days. you have a heightended sense of awareness about what happens when you don't eat well and how much better you inevitably feel when you DO eat well. Carbs are a major contributor to gaining weight and as always, sugar is the main culprit! It's a conscious choice!
